He was born in Ankara in 1967. He was graduated from Istanbul Atakoy High School in 1984 and from Istanbul University, Istanbul School of Medicine in 1992. He started his doctorate in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in 1994 and gave his thesis about “Frequency of septum pellucidum anomalies in normal population” in 1997. After his military service, he was attended as assistant professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in 1999. He received his associate professor title in 2002. He became associate professor in April 2003. He has been working in the same department as full professor since October 2007. His scientific fields of interest are neuroanatomy, radiological anatomy and computer aided three dimensional reconstruction, and anaglyph techniques. He is Editor-in-Chief of NEUROANATOMY.
